If you’re anything like me, then you’re not too thrilled about giving out candy on Halloween. If you won’t eat candy because of its added sugar, artificial colors, and carcinogens (toxins that cause cancer), then why would you want to give it to innocent children?
Now I know, everyone else is doing it, so what does it matter? However, everyone can make a difference, not matter how big or small. Your no-candy-on-Halloween trend will catch on if you know what hot commodities to give out instead.
If you want to make a health statement this Halloween, consider giving out these fun goodies this Halloween!
Whether they’re Halloween-themed or not, kids love stickers! Big or small, tall or short, glittery or plain, everyone can find a sticker that they love.
Money is a perfect way to get kids to forget about candy. Plus, it’s economical for those on a tighter budget. If you give out pennies to 100 kids, then you’ll only have spent a dollar on Halloween, although I highly recommend handing out dimes or quarters to satisfy both the kids and your conscience.
Are you artsy? Do you love fun and crafty projects? Then origami is the perfect thing for you to hand out on Halloween! Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Youtube are amazing and quick resources to find thousands or origami ideas. Last year, I handed out Ninja Stars, and they were a huge success!
Regular orange #2 pencils aren’t that cool, but colorfully designed pencils (especially Halloween-themed ones) are a hit with kids. A lot of people, including me, have pencil collections as kids, so pencils are a good and inexpensive choice for Halloween goodies.
How cool are glow sticks? Really super cool when you’re a kid! When I was younger, my friends and I would always have competitions to see who could get the most glow sticks on Halloween night, so they’re definitely a great choice!
Whether they’re homemade or store bought, beaded bracelets and/or necklaces are cool fashion statements that younger kids love! Rubber bracelets, too, are a good choice and popular among boys.
Kids love getting decked out in Halloween spirit wear, so why not hand out those plastic spider rings? Any plastic ring is cool for a kid. They may not last long, but they’ll leave a lasting impression on the kids who get them.
I hope you are able to hand out one of these fun options on Halloween! Do you have any other ideas of what to hand out on Halloween? Let me know in the comments!
Blessings to All,
