Motivation Monday

Happy Monday, everybody! I know that sometimes Mondays can be hard. You have to go back to work or school, and you have to take back all of your responsibilities. However, Monday is also a fresh, new start. However your day goes on Monday, that sets up how the rest of your week is going to go. So my goal with Motivation Monday is to help you to start off your week positively! If you can make it through Monday with a positive attitude, you can make it through anything with a positive attitude!
Every Monday I will share with you 5 powerful quotes about motivational subjects such as success, health, forgiveness, love, happiness, and inspiration. Today I’m going to share with you 5 quotes about embarrassment and being yourself.

Why, you ask? Right now, I’m sitting in a classroom full of my friends and peers. Because it’s Halloween, I’m dressed as a lion, and I have ears, a tail, a black nose and whiskers, everything. Nobody else in my class is dressed up, not one. I didn’t bring a change of clothes or even a sweatshirt, so I’m stuck being the odd duck (or, in this case, lion) all day long.

Luckily for me, I’m content with myself and I love who I am, so, although it’s hard, I’m not caring what anyone else thinks right now, and I want today’s quotes help you to find the courage to be yourself and love yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks.

“Kites rise highest against the wind – not with it.” -Winston Churchill

“You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.” -Walt Disney

“The sun has a sinking spell every night, but it comes back up every morning. The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” -Dolly Parton

“The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing that you will make one.” -Elbert Hubbard

“There are no mistakes, no coincidences. All events are blessings given to us to learn from.” -Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

What is your favorite quote this week (mine is #3)?
Was I embarrassed today at school? Yes, a little bit, but only until I realized that I was the only one having fun, the only one not afraid to express myself in a fun way. What other people think of you is none of your business, and I think that that’s the only way that one can live contently and happily.

So many people are afraid of not fitting in and being liked by everybody, but I think that we were all born to stand out and be ourselves. Your soul longs to express itself creatively and freely, so don’t deny it! It’s so freeing to just express yourself, no matter what is “socially acceptable” or “cool.”

When you are who you are, you’ll find friends that respect and appreciate you. Any friend that would leave you for expressing yourself or disagreeing with them isn’t a true friend.

Blessings to All,

    Hi Danielle,

I just watched your interview outside of the medical medium conference and serendipitiously, here I am! You are intelligent and wise beyond your years and no doubt will attract many opportunities for success in life! I am excited to see how living creatively in your truth with joy attracts opportunities for you to keep exploring, asking questions, taking charge of your life and creating your best loving version of yourself.

I am 33 and Halloween has always been my favorite day of the year. I still love dressing up and do it whenever I can, even if it falls on a work day. The weird reactions seem inevitable, but I always have fun and it makes me happy. Two years ago I showed up to work at a retail store in full outer space regalia complete with a life-like two foot tall alien mask from a hollywood thrift shop, with homemade alien elongated fingers and of course a full body spacesuit. It was a mixed bag with the responses but the positive reactions were so priceless it was worth it.

Keep up the amazing work you are doing for youself! Thank you for sharing!

    1. Thank you so much for reading my blog! It really means a lot to me! And good for you for dressing up every Halloween. Being yourself is so important, and it’s a huge weight off your shoulders when you stop caring what other people think. It’s always refreshing to meet likeminded people like you who are more open and awake to the world. Much love to you! šŸ™‚
