Book Review: Life-Changing Foods by Anthony William

This weekend, I went to Los Angeles, California to hear Anthony William speak. If you don’t know who Anthony William is, click here. He gave 15 readings to random people from the audience, but the most important thing that he did was give each audience member something called the Light Blast. The Light Blast is when Spirit summons white light from Heaven to go through each audience member. This white light speeds up the healing process for anywhere from 2 to 6 months. So, that’s pretty important for anyone trying to heal from chronic illnesses.

Anyways, at that event I received my very own copy of Anthony’s new book, Life-Changing Foods. Today, I’m going to be sharing with you what I think of it and what it’s about.

First of all, I’m just going to put it out there that I spent the whole 4 hour plane ride back home from LA reading this book. That’s right, 4 hours! That’s how amazing this book is!

Motivation Monday

Nobody else in my class is dressed up, not one. I didn’t bring a change of clothes or even a sweatshirt, so I’m stuck being the odd duck (or, in this case, lion) all day long.

What to Buy Instead of Candy This Halloween

If you’re anything like me, then you’re not too thrilled about giving out candy on Halloween. If you won’t eat candy because of its added sugar, artificial colors, and carcinogens (toxins that cause cancer), then why would you want to give it to innocent children?

Now I know, everyone else is doing it, so what does it matter? However, everyone can make a difference, not matter how big or small. Your no-candy-on-Halloween trend will catch on if you know what hot commodities to give out instead.

10 Simple Tips for Reducing Stress

What is Stress?
While a lot of people experience stress, most don’t understand what it actually is. Stress, believe it or not, actually used to be a good thing, back when we didn’t stress out over everyday things in our lives. Stress is your body’s fight-or-flight response that helps you to react to dangerous situations. For example, if you’re out in the woods and all of a sudden a lion jumps out at you, your body’s stress signals go off like an alarm in your brain, telling you to jump back immediately, thus saving your life.

However, in the 21st century, stress has become an unfortunate part of our daily lives. There’s good stress and there’s bad stress, but unfortunately, bad stress is more common. Those instant panic attacks or anxiety flares that we get when hearing the words, “pop quiz,” or “assessment,” are not motivators to do your work, but instead counterproductive ways to get worked up and overthink everything. Whether it be work, school, tests, interviews, traffic, money, being a parent, or time issues, we all have bad stress in our lives.

Not only is stress not fun and not productive, but it’s also not healthy. Studies show that just 5 minutes of intense stress weakens your immune system for 5 hours, and we all know that we stress out for a lot longer than 5 minutes! In addition, stress increases your risk for developing heart disease, cancer, brain disease, diabetes, and more. Plus, it increases our anxiety, depression, cravings, and joint and muscle pain.
